Welcome to the Sight-Reading Project!

This site is being created by a music educator for the purpose to create an online library of music learning exercises that are easy to create, use realistic notation, and deliver a learning product that has already been proven invaluable in music classes.

This site teaches and promotes the use of the solfege sight-singing method. The automated solfege syallables make use of "Moveable Do" with both "La-Based Minor" (middle and high school preferred) and "Do-Based Minor" (for college and AP Music Theory classes) as options. See the Best Practices Suggestions on how to get the most out of this site.

Please help us grow the Sight Reading Project Family! If you are a capable arranger of exercises, register for a free account today! Membership allows users to enter new exercises, rate exercises, add comments and to create learning communities for their groups.

A new, more user-friendly search page now online for all users. Registered users still have access to detailed, advanced search features.

A number of other enhancements have been installed for registered users. Users with accounts can 'bookmark' exercises into their own community folders. Once they bookmark an exercise, that exercise appears in an enhanced "classroom reader" view which provides a larger view of the exercises and removes the sidebar ads. Registered users also now have the ability to click on the contributer's username (under each exercise) which will allow them to view that contributer's other exercises.
